Heyho Global Changers! We’re getting to the point where school is starting to let out, the days are getting longer and warmer, and more people are spending time outside. That’s right, it’s summertime, and summertime means it’s time to get our next fundraising campaign started! Most of these details were announced at our GFGC Summer Kickoff event a couple of weeks ago, so if you missed that stream, here’s a great place to catch up!
Introducing the Ultimate Summer Campaign for the benefit of Doctors Without Borders!
The GFGC Ultimate Summer campaign is our next bi-annual charity fundraising campaign, supporting Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) / Doctors Without Borders! MSF is an independent, global movement providing life-saving medical aid in over 70 countries worldwide, responding especially to areas affected by natural disasters, war, epidemics, and poverty. This summer marks the first time that we’ve supported Doctors Without Borders, and we hope to support their efforts by raising $1,500 through the Ultimate Summer campaign. The campaign will run from May – September 2019, so there’s plenty of time to spread the word and get fundraising for this amazing charity!
Nintendothon Ultimate – 6 Days of Nintendo for the benefit of MSF
The Ultimate Summer campaign will culminate with the next Nintendothon event this July, Nintendothon Ultimate! We’re pulling out all of the stops this summer, seeking to kick off our sixth year of impact with a truly ultimate event!
Nintendothon Ultimate will be a 144 hour long marathon livestream of Nintendo games for the benefit of MSF, and will feature new attendees, incentives, games, and more! We’re seeking to evolve the Nintendothon formula this summer to increase the event’s reach, hype, and entertainment, and can’t wait for you to see all of the awesome things we’re working on! Stay tuned to this page and our social media outlets for soon-to-come updates on the event as the summer progresses.
Nintendothon Ultimate will begin on July 18th, 2019 at 4:00PMCT, and will run for six days, concluding on July 24th, 2019, viewable at both our Twitch page, and the campaign’s Tiltify page. We can’t wait for all of you to join us at this ultimate event in July!
