GFGC, our 2016-17 year of impact is officially coming to a close! This year has been fantastic for us, allowing us to expand upon the things that made GFGC great and successful in 2015-16, and introduce new things as well. I want to quickly reflect on all of our accomplishments this year:
- $925 cumulatively raised for two different charity organizations (FMSC and charity: water).
- Two new charity marathons, SimStream and Wiitendothon went live.
- GFGC Twitch channel was live for more than 200 hours with livestreams.
- GFGC became a Twitch Affiliate channel.
- The GFGC Website launched.
- A new version of the GFGC MC Server launched.
- and more than 40 new people have joined us in Gaming for Global Change (Hey everyone!).
A momentous and high achieving year like this needs a complementary conclusion, which is why I’m pleased to announce the GFGC Wrap-Up 2017!
This day-long event of streaming will feature announcements, gameplay, and of course the return of our community awards! This is only the icing on the cake, check out our full list of announcements and stream events below:
- New charity fundraiser campaign for Winter 2017.
- New charity marathon for Winter 2017.
- The first recipient of the new Member of the Month Award.
- Recipient of 2017 GFGC Inspiring Supporter Award.
- The induction of three new community members into the GFGC Hall of Fame.
- More than 6 hours of gameplay for the benefit of charity.
The GFGC Wrap-Up 2017 will take place on November 4th, 2017 beginning at 2:00PMCT only at our Twitch Channel! We hope to see you there, you wont want to miss it!
