Happy Thanksgiving GFGC!

Now that the turkey is in the oven, and our food is all prepped here at GFGC HQ,  I finally have some time to sit down and reiterate upon a GFGC tradition; it’s that time once again to share the things I’m thankful for this year.

I want to first give a big thanks to the two charities we are and have supported in 2017, charity: water, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The work that both of your organizations do in bringing life, vitality, and new beginnings to people from all around the world is purely amazing and priceless. The world would not be the same without your continued impact in fighting against the global water crisis, and childhood cancer. Thank you for all that you do.

I next want to thank the greatest crew of people I know, the marathon team here at GFGC. Wiitendothon took a lot of effort to plan, and you all made it soar much higher than I had even imagined. The combined charisma, dedication, and passion you have is one of a kind, and I couldn’t ask for a better group of friends to help me with this crazy dream of mine. Thank you all!

My next thanks has to go to the revitalized GFGC Board of Directors. Prior to and following the launch of our brand new GFGC Winter is Curing Campaign, this crew of people showed their willingness to volunteer their time, energy, and hard-work to helping GFGC thrive and succeed heading into 2018. GFGC definitely would not be as organized or impactful without the help of these individuals, and I’m super thankful for all the work they do. Thanks guys!

I saved the biggest thanks for last, as I want to go ahead and thank all of you. When I started Gaming for Global Change back in 2013, I only envisioned it as a brand, and never dreamed of what it would become. Now, nearly four years later, the community has grown to nearly 100 strong, and is filled to the brim with so many passionate people who want to make change in the world. All of our events, streams, chatrooms, and websites wouldn’t be possible if it wasn’t for your involvement and support, and for that I’m eternally grateful. You all have helped turn this pipe dream into a reality. Thank you! Thank you to every single one of you!

With that, I’ve got to get back to helping out in the kitchen. Eat good food today, connect with people you haven’t connected with, and be sure to reflect and recognize what you’re thankful for this holiday season! On behalf of the GFGC Board of Directors and the marathon team, we wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!
